Background
Previously known as
the
Nano-Youth
Laboratory of Chinese Academy of
Sciences. the
key laboratory of molecular nanostructure
and nanotechnology was founded in 2000.
The laboratory focus on the
basic research and related technology of molecular
nanostructures, nanomaterials and nano devices. We are
interested in
studying the nanostructures and their functions,
developing relevant characterizing technologies, and
exploring their applications. More specifically, the research activities of
this laboratory include:
(1) Development and application of Scanning
Probe Microscopy (SPM)
related techniques
(2)
Physical and chemical properties of
single molecules
(3)
Constructions and characterization of
molecular nanostructure
(4)
The fundamental research and applications
of nanomaterials
(5) Fullerene related nanomaterials
(6)
biological aspects of nano materials
2. Major
Scientific achievements
(1) Scientific
publications
Between
2005 and 2007,
the
research work by this lab is reflected by
110 peer-reviewed paper published, 21 of them published

International Collaborations
We have paid extensive attentions in the international
scholar exchange and collaborations. We have long-term
collaborations with some renowned research labs in
top-level scientific research institutions inclusing
Prof. Dong-Min Chen's lab in Rowland Institute of Science,
USA, Prof. Wei-Hong Tan's lab in Florida University, USA, Prof. Osawa's
lab in Hokkaido Univeristy, Japan, Prof. Shinohara's lab in
Nagoya University, Japan. We have co-authored many
research papers with these collaborators in prestigious
international journals such as PNAS, L. Am. Chem. Soc. J. Phys. Chem. in the
recent years.
