Based on understanding the fundamental science and issues in quantum dot based solar cells, the group is focusing on the design and fabrication of new nanostructured photoanode and counter electrode for the purpose of enhancing exciton generation, carrier separation, and efficient carrier transport as well as inhibiting the carrier recombination, so as to obtain high efficient quantum dot based solar cells.
